I want to start each sentence with I.
I don’t know why.
I thought I’d give it a try.
I hope you enjoy my 2016. Without doubt the best year of my life - so far.
I was told I was “being brave” in when I decided stop being an employee.
I didn’t think I was, it felt like the right thing to do.
I was free in February.
I had the flu in February, it was cold, damp and miserable.
I knew it was time to take time out and plan my future.
I started work on my personal brand.
I moved house in April.
I expect I’ll move again in 2017.
I can’t explain why.
I just can’t settle in one place.
I took to the beach in May.
I loved being by the sea in tranquil surroundings. It shaped my thinking.
I had the best London weekend in June, with the best of friends.
I continue to be obsessed by Brutalism.
I gave talks on personal branding. They were well received.
I became a “Consultant in a Coffee Shop”. This was fun, I'll do it again.
I did a photo shoot in August. Apparently I know how to work the camera!
I have grown my circle of friends with exceptional people I cherish.
I have reconnected with people from my past and that’s a delight.
I understand why people voted leave.
I understand why people voted Trump.
I understand the implications will start to be felt in 2017.
I understand this may not be good.
I met a tailor who makes amazing clothes, kindred spirit when it comes to style.
I brought my brand to life. Jackson Concepts exceeding all my expectations.
I know the value of working with exceptional creatives.
I adore being a great uncle.
I am deliberately omitting names, for fear of overlooking anyone.
I truly value everyone who has been a part of my life in 2016.
I look forward to meeting new people in the new year.
I headed to the Irish countryside to visit friends who are more like family to me.
I love my new business card, almost too good to hand out.
I attracted new clients big and small, all interesting and all a pleasure to work with.
I embrace my eclectic assortment of scarves and hats.
I know I live a fortunate life.
I value it and the people who are a part of it.
I also see things.
I have seen more people than ever sleeping on our streets.
I know this is wrong.
I do give cash.
I know that’s not enough.
I want to do more.
I will do more. Suggestions please.
I headed to London again in November to recharge my creative batteries - it worked.
I join the gym in December.
I love an early morning swim, it’s tranquil and energising in equal measures.
I enjoyed Christmas catch-ups with the my friends. They have good hearts.
I felt more warmth than ever from time spent with my family this Christmas.

I can’t wait to do 2017.
